Here are some of the newest trucks and accessories on the market for easing building materials transport, delivery, and services.

Roomy Control GM's (pictured) medium-duty crew cab trucks, the Chevrolet Kodiak and GMC TopKick, feature four wide doors, full-length steps, and roomier cabs. The trucks are available with a variety of wheelbases, diesel or gas engines, and automatic or manual transmissions. Circle 112.

Revved Up Mitsubishi Fuso's (pictured) newly designed 4M50 dual overhead cam diesel engine is available in the 17,900 GVWR class 5 FH vehicle. The medium-duty FH with the 4M50 engine produces 347 foot-pounds of torque at 1,800 rpm and includes an exhaust brake, power windows and door locks, and a park position on the shift selector. In Store Designed to fit Ford's E-Series utility vans, Knapheide KUV Series service bodies from H&H Sales Co. are available in three models and feature outside storage compartments, interior cargo space with built-in adjustable shelving, a sliding cab access door, two rear access doors, and two mar access conduit chutes. Easy Lifting JLG's new Triple-L trailers incorporate the 12-volt Power Deck hydraulic system to deliver lower, load, and lift capabilities. The operator can lower the trailer's deck to the ground in less than 15 seconds, says the maker, eliminating the need for a ramp. The trailers are available in flat bed, utility or box, and enclosed configurations. Circle 115.

Back-Up Help A new Quick Install Kit for the Rear Obstacle Sensing System (ROSS) is available from Rostra Precision Controls. ROSS senses obstacles in a vehicle's path up to 12 feet away. A series of audible beeps increases in intensity as the object draws closer, and there is an in-dash lighting display. Circle 116.

Carry-All The Landscape Body from Reading Body Works features a bolt-together design that allows for easy installation of the landscaping sides. With a side-access door, two rear cargo doors, a four-way double-hinged tailgate, and removable sides and bulkhead, the Landscape Body is designed for flexibility in the field, says the maker. Haul Away Volvo's updated VHD 200 model Class 8 vocational truck features a newly designed interior cab. A wrap-around dash places switches and gauges within easy reach and lights and radio controls are positioned on the steering wheel. Circle 118.

Cover Up New EZ3 Series fiberglass tonneau covers from A.R.E. for pickup trucks feature throe doors for full side and rear access to the entire truck bed. The tonneau covers are available for 1993 to current Ford Ranger and Chevrolet S-10 trucks and 1997 to current model long- and short-bed Dodge Dakota trucks. Circle 119.
