Lyle Heidemann joins true value as president & CEO

Chicago-based wholesale hardware co-op True Value Co. announced the selection of Lyle G. Heidemann as president and CEO. Heidemann brings extensive retail experience to True Value after serving as executive vice president and general manager at Sears before leaving in 2003. "We believe Lyle Heidemann is the right person to accelerate our strategic growth plan and take True Value to the next level," said Bryan Ableidinger, chairman of the board, in a recent company release. Tom Hanemann, interim CEO since November, will stay on as a member of the board of directors and ensure a smooth transition.
