Roof anchors - Special focus: safety products

The company has introduced a line of permanent roof anchors for a variety of applications, including roof installation, gutter cleaning, and chimney repair. The Miner Claw, shown here, provides one permanent anchorage point when attached to a wood rafter or a truss member, the maker says. The unit is made of stainless steel, has a UV-resistant Santoprene flashing, and includes a protective vinyl cap.
Single D and Double D anchors also are available. The Single unit installs over a wood roof sub-surface and is finished with roofing materials, leaving the D-ring exposed for quick anchoring; the Double features two D-ring points and installs over a wood ridge. * Cost: Unavailable.
