ICE
Tools of the Trade, Sept-Oct, 2005
We're spreading the word about a great idea launched in early 2005 by a Cambridge, England, paramedic, who is encouraging people around the world to enter an "ICE" (stands for In Case of Emergency) phone number into their cell phones so that emergency personnel can instantly quick-dial whomever you want notified if you become injured.
The idea has been steadily gaining ground following the bombing attacks in London in July and buzz has spread quickly to the United States.
