Lock down: Metabo adds security feature to rotary hammers
Tools of the Trade, Sept-Oct, 2005 by Katy Tomasulo
Metabo now offers rotary hammers with the Code! anti-theft system, which protects against unauthorized use. Using a remote control, tool owners can enable or disable protected rotary hammers; if a disabled tool is stolen, it will be inoperable. A Code! label identifies tools with the feature. The tools have LED signals that indicate when tools are enabled or disabled.
