ECI Telecom
ECI Telecom is taking its XDM-100 MSPP (multi-service provisioning platform) to new heights by extending Ethernet applications to the access layer. Designed to meet the needs of both metro access and cellular networks, the newly enhanced MSPP features an integrated EIS-M (Ethernet interface and switching module). It extends the XDM-100 to now enable service providers to deliver a suite of voice, data and video services over an Ethernet and SONET/SDH network. With the ability to converge Ethernet, SDH/SONET, TDM/CWDM and PDH/Synch services on the EIS-M card, providers can combine emerging applications with their legacy business. With the XDM-100, operators can gradually mix data-centric applications (e.g., Ethernet virtual private line) and ultra-high-bandwidth connectivity, while enabling QoS and SLA assurances and statistical multiplexing to handle traffic bursts and support dynamic bandwidth utilization. In addition, ECI is offering new XDM combiner cards supporting both 2.5- and 10-Gbps line rates. These cards enable an individual service on a channel to be dropped at any network node for increased wavelength utilization across a variety of storage and SAN applications.
