Unlimited Fiber Optic Communications Inc. continues nationwide expansion

Unlimited Fiber Optic Communications (UFO), a provider of enterprise broadband optical communications services in major metropolitan areas, announced that it is expanding in 2003 into the Los Angeles and Dallas metropolitan markets. UFO currently operates metropolitan optical networks in the San Francisco and Chicago markets. This expansion, spurred by the completion of a $10 million strategic financing, is part of the company's strategy for nationwide expansion to service many of the largest metropolitan areas in the US. Current UFO customers include Barclays Global Investors, BT North America, Electronic Arts, Lennar Homes and Universal Access. UFO's services will begin in the first quarter of 2003 in the Los Angeles market and in the second quarter of 2003 in the Dallas market.

In a related release, Sorrento Networks Corp., a provider of metro and regional optical networking solutions, announced a strategic relationship with UFO which included a $5 million investment by Sorrento Networks in UFO's $10 million Series B financing. Sorrento Networks has supplied UFO with the DWDM equipment.
