Specialty Fiber to grow 28 percent in 2003

The worldwide consumption value of a selected group of specialty optical fiber, is expected to increase 28 percent this year, from $155 million to $199 million, according to study results just-released by ElectroniCast Corp. The Specialty Optical Fiber Global Market Forecast presents the use of selected fibers used in communication applications.

This analysis leverages from several ElectroniCast study efforts, including: fiber optic sensors, optical fiber amplifiers, dispersion compensators and numerous passive and active. optical component studies.
