Broadwing's nationwide all-optical network serves as backbone for wholesale service

Broadwing Communications LLC and AireSpring announced that they have entered into an agreement under which AirSpring's national group of sales agents is reselling communications services supported by Broadwing's nationwide all-optical network. AireSpring is offering Broadwing-supported local connectivity, long-distance, dedicated Internet access, and private line services to its corporate and residential customers nationwide.

Broadwing's wholesale program is designed to make doing business with Broadwing easy for resellers. Not only does Broadwing offer resellers access to its full suite of voice and data services, Broadwing also offers a variety of Web-based tools that allow resellers to easily manage their customers. For instance, resellers can download call detail records on a daily basis, thus streamlining their billing and customer service operations. In addition, they can modify the services that they offer customers via a Web-based interface, which allows them to add new features or functions or even additional lines without having to pick up the phone and call Broadwing.
