Veneman announced, as part of an effort to expand the availability of broadband technology in rural areas, the approval of $18 million in broadband loans to companies in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and New Hampshire. "Advanced high speed Internet technology will enable rural Americans to access more information to improve educational, health and business opportunities," Veneman said.
