FutureWei Technologies (FutureWei), the North American division of Huawei Technologies, announced that CTC Communications, one of the largest converged communications services providers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, has deployed FutureWei's BWS1600A Multi-Reach DWDM (MR-DWDM) on CTC's New York City to Albany cross section.
This deployment is the first of a larger core network modernization program aimed at providing a rapidly expanding CTC customer base with new, advanced service capabilities with dramatically reduced provisioning time to meet today's mission-critical requirements. The New York City-Albany cross section was deployed in only 4 days, demonstrating the commitment and strength of CTC Communications and the capabilities of FutureWei's advanced technology.
