Movaz Networks awarded $14 million network contract by CHT

Movaz Networks, a provider of optical networking solutions, announced the award of a US $14 million optical network contract by Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) to build a nationwide optical infrastructure consisting of 2l metropolitan DWDM rings.

Chunghwa Telecom is the national PTT in Taiwan with over 20 million subscribers for fixed and mobile phone as well as high-speed data services. Working through a strategic relationship with Comtrend, a leading systems integrator in Taiwan, and Capahill Technologies, a technical sales consultancy that operates throughout Asia, Movaz was awarded the multi-phase project with deployments of several hundred RAYexpress OADMs and RAYextender line amplifiers in interconnected optical rings to transport Gigabit Ethernet and storage area networking services over DWDM wavelengths. In addition to direct sales office in Japan, Movaz is continuing to aggressively expand its Asian presence by engaging with Capahill Technologies in our Asian Market.
