Hitachi Telecom sells additional Transmux to Norlight 8. Telecommunications

Fiber Optics Weekly Update, Feb 7, 2003

Hitachi Telecom (USA) Inc., a subsidiary of Hitachi America, Ltd., announced additional sales of the AMN4100 Transmux to Norlight Telecommunications to maximize channel capacity over the company's growing 10G network in the Midwest.

Norlight, a Wisconsin-based provider of wholesale carrier transport services and integrated data solutions for businesses, continues to meet and exceed the needs of its customers.

Hitachi's AMN4100 Transmux will enable Norlight to maximize channel capacity in areas of its network where additional growth is being realized. The AMN4100 multiplexes lower speed traffic to the OC-192 line rate directly through the DWDM. It maximizes channel capacity by providing four OC-48 or 16 OC-12 inputs for each OC-192 wavelength of the DWDM system resulting in full 10 Gbit/s DWDM channel utilization. Hitachi's AMN 6100 DWDM was deployed throughout Norlight's network in 2001.
