Gigabit Optics launches four new products enhancing functionality in the growing CWDM Market

Fiber Optics Weekly Update, Feb 7, 2003

Gigabit Optics, a provider of integrated photonics components, announced the introduction of four new products: Micro OADM, Micro OADM-l, Micro OADM-2 and 4-Channel CWDM Mux/Demux with express channel. These micro-optical platforms enable products with substantially smaller form factors and lower costs, which are ideal for optical networking Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Gigabit Optics' micro-optical platforms are achieved through the use of proprietary manufacturing technology that reduces assembly time, increases manufacturing yields and allows for re-workability. The patent-pending products are designed for assembling and integrating micro-optical components to create sub-assemblies for use in optical network sub-systems and line cards.
