West Virginia Network expands Internet capacity with new sprint contract - Network News - Brief Article

Sprint is now providing Internet access to the West Virginia Network (WVNET) through a new contract expected to save the state roughly $750,000 annually while boosting performance. WVNET provides Internet access to West Virginia's state higher education institutions, more than 800 K - 12 schools, libraries, all state agencies, the West Virginia legislature, all county governments and some municipalities.

Sprint displaces Verizon through this agreement. The state projects $672,000 in savings for the coming year and more than $750,000 annually in future years.
