Photonics GmbH has announced the release of PMD and PDL test solutions which provide a breakthrough in high-speed, highly accurate PMD and PDL test. The solutions have been designed for testing of optical components, fibers and cables.
The A2000 Component Analyzer provides a dramatic increase in throughput over all competitive solutions as it acquires all relevant measurement data within one laser sweep. Thus, a full characterization is completed within less than 20 seconds with a PMD accuracy of better than 30fs.

Adaptif Photonics has also eliminated the drift and stability issues which have affected such measurements in traditional implementations through the use of proprietary algorithms. The instrument family operates over all relevant wavelength bands.
