Officers elected to serve in 2000-01 included: Mel Hawkins, president; Dan Gentry Kent, vice president; and Jerry Summers, secretary. Charles Deweese continues his service as executive director-treasurer. Council of Advisors members elected Included: One-year terms: Brad Creed, Texas; Jerry Faught, Oklahoma; Marlene Rikard, Alabama; and Walter Shurden, Georgia.
Two-year terms: Don Dowless, South Carolina; Charles Martin, Mississippi; James Porch, Tennessee; and John Woodard, North Carolina. Three-year terms: Carolyn Blevins, Tennessee; Alan Lefever, Texas; Bill Leonard, North Carolina; and Elizabeth Wells, Alabama.
