Intermec Technologies announced that Intermec's 700 and 700 Color Series of mobile computers are the first rugged handheld devices to be approved for operation on the AT & T Wireless' GSM/GPRS network. They allow users to transmit and receive data messages wherever AT & T Wireless' GSM/GPRS service is available. Thies Distributing, one of the largest beer distributors in the U.S., has selected the 700 Series with GPRS to provide real-time data for more than 50 presale routes.
