AsiaInfo Holdings, a provider of telecom software solutions in China, announced that it has signed contracts to provide messaging software to China Mobile subsidiaries in Shanghai and Liaoning, and customer analysis software to the China Mobile subsidiary in Chongqing. In order to offer high quality e-mail services to its valued mobile subscribers, Shanghai Mobile will replace its current messaging software with AsiaInfo's carrier-class product AIMC, which will significantly improve the functionality and scalability of the system.

Under a separate contract, AsiaInfo will provide enhanced AIiN4C software to Liaoning Mobile, adding functions such as integrated email and mobile services. In addition, AsiaInfo's customer analysis software will be deployed by Chongqing Mobile, allowing the carrier to generate statistic reports with customer information.
Shanghai, Chongqing and Liaoning are home to more than 16 million, 30 million and 42 million people respectively. China Mobile subsidiaries service approximately 15 million people in these three cities.
