Dwango Wireless to offer game content for AT&T Wireless mMode service - Services - Brief Article

Dwango Wireless is poised to become a formidable player in die wireless game community. Developing advanced content for wireless game fans, Dwango Wireless recently signed its first mobile channel agreement with AT&T Wireless Services. Through this agreement, AT&T Wireless subscribers can download games for play on Motorola T720 cellular handsets at a cost of $2.49 plus applicable sales tax per download.

Dwango, AT&T Wireless and other wireless carriers are positioned to capture a segment of the US wireless entertainment market that Datamonitor estimates will generate $3 billion by 2006. Dwango games currently available through AT&T Wireless include Star Exceed and Dwango Racing. In early 2003, Dwango will deliver a subscription version of Dwango Racing. Star Exceed is a top-down vertical shooting game. Players lock on to targets, track and shoot The goal is to defeat the mother ship at the end of each level of play to continue. Dwango Racing is a top-down vertical scrolling car driving game. Players can race against up to eight different computer rivals. Whoever gets to the finish line first wins.
