Mobile Internet, The, April, 2002

Nokia announced that it has begun shipping new Nokia 8390 phones to AT&T Wireless as part of the national rollout of AT&T Wireless' high-speed GPRS network. Combining the newest in technology with the latest in design, the Nokia 8390 is designed for the mobile trendsetter who wishes to take advantage of the most up-to-date mobile services.

The phone supports access to e-mail or access to Internet and intranet information either using the built-in WAP browser or by connecting to a PC via the integrated infrared port. As Nokia's first GPRS fashion category phone for the Americas market, the Nokia 8390 offers a full line of optional front and back Xpress-on color covers that combine solid and translucent sections for a unique style statement. Downloadable ring tones and a ring tone composer available as part of the Nokia PC suite (downloadable at www.nokiausa.com) add to the customization options for the Nokia 8390.
