Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco), an electric supplier, has gone live with the latest version of the Mobility software suite, giving the Washington, DC-based utility the ability to optimize its mobile resources while increasing productivity and profitability.

Mobility is a Windows NT mobile computing solution that includes automated dispatch, scheduling and automatic vehicle location. Mobility's component architecture reduces implementation time and passes on benefits such as reduced implementation costs, reduced maintenance costs, enhanced product functionality and provides Pepco with choices and control over the final product. Pepco is currently integrating the Mobility suite to their in-house legacy CIS application with further plans to integrate their Outage Management System.
