Dot Hill's SANnet selected as storage standard for Winphoria's mobile switching center - New Products & Services - Brief Article

Dot Hill Systems, a provider of storage networking solutions, announced that Winphoria Networks has selected Dot Hill's SANnet 3320 as the storage standard in its new WMS-5000 packet-based, mobile switching center (MSC) for mobile wireless networks. The DC-powered SANnet systems used in Winphoria's MSC are certified to telecommunications industry standards and are used for collection and storage of billing and accounting data.

Industry analyst Gartner Dataquest forecasts that there will be 1.5 billion mobile connections worldwide by 2005.
