Flight Options' pilots utilize the latest in wireless technology

Mobile Internet, The, May, 2004

Each of the nearly 1,000 Flight Options pilots are now equipped with Research In Motion (RIM) Blackberry Wireless Devices. By implementing the use of this technology, Flight Options is able to provide enhanced communication between the company's crewmembers and its operations team.

Flight crews are able to transmit information regarding their flight status and trip details instantaneously to the Operations Control Center. This data allows Flight Options' operations team to update scheduling information and to ensure service levels are being achieved.
