Ericsson named solesupplier for WCDMA to SingTel in Singapore - International - Brief Article

Ericsson has been selected by SingTel as sole supplier for their WCDMA system in Singapore. Ericsson will also expand and upgrade SingTel's present 2G system for a fully integrated, nationwide GSM/GPRS/WCDMA solution. The contract is valued at USD 125 million. The agreement with SingTel comprises a complete 3G system including core and radio access network.

In addition to infrastructure supply, Ericsson will provide a comprehensive portfolio of professional services including network design and systems integration. Ericsson and SingTel will work together to bring new, value-added services such as video streaming to SingTel's customers.
