Brightpoint Inc. announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Skype Technologies S. A. ("Skype "), the Global Internet Telephony Company(TM), under which Brightpoint will act as an authorized distributor of Skype products and services.
Brightpoint will initially focus on promoting Skype products and Skype Premium Services to its independent agent/dealer channels, mass and specialty retailers (including university bookstores, hot spots, copy/shipping retailers, mall kiosks), and wireless network operator customers in the United States, Australia, the Philippines, India, and New Zealand.

This distribution agreement is the definitive binding agreement referred to in Brightpoint's June 9, 2005 announcement concerning its co-operation agreement with Skype.

Skype's Premium Services offer inexpensive, seamless connectivity to ordinary fixed and mobile telephones as well as advanced Internet telephony features.
