Special Note to Navy Users: On Oct. 1, 2004, and May 6, 2005, the Navy established the Oracle Database Enterprise License, effective through Sept. 30, 2013. The enterprise license provides Navy shore-based and afloat users to include active duty, Reserve and civilian billets, as well as contractors who access Navy systems, the right to use Oracle databases for the purpose of supporting Navy internal operations. Navy users in joint commands or supporting joint functions should contact the NAVK P Mechanicsburg contracting officer at (717) 605-3210 for further review of the requirements and coverage.
This license is Managed by tire Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR-SYSCEN) Pacific DON Information Technology (IT) Umbrella Program Office. The Navy Oracle Database Enterprise License provides significant benefits including substantial cost avoidance for the Department. It facilitates the goal of net-centric operations by allowing authorized risers to access Oracle databases for Navy internal operations and permits sharing of authoritative data across the Navy enterprise.
