New Jersey-based Global Crossing Ltd.--which has its international headquarters in Miami--will buy Buenos Aires-based IMPSAT Fiber Networks Inc. for $336 million in cash and debt assumption. Global Crossing, one of the leading providers of IP-based communications in Latin America, hopes to expand its reach with IMPSAT, a broadband and satellite communications company.
