1) Mikki Canton, a Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart LLP shareholder, and Vogue magazine, hosted a shopping event last month at Village of Merrick Park to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation of Miami. Attendees included the cancer foundation's president, Kathryn Becker and South Florida gynecologist Letty Villa.

2) Henrietta Countess de Hoernle offered to donate up to $1,000,000 of matching funds to build a permanent home for Little Palm Family Theatre at a November gala honoring Madelyn Savarick for her donations to the theatre company.

3) Sam Patel, director of Mayors Jewelers Boca Raton, with Mayors chief operating officer Joseph Keifer, celebrating the company's newest designer, Esty, at a charity event in Town Center Mall.

4) Television judge Marilyn Milian, from "The People's Court," with Youth and Government Program alumna Monique Fowler and Alfred Sanchez, president of the YMCA of Greater Miami, at the YMCA's 2004 Star's Night Out Gala, where $138,000 was raised for YMCA scholarships.

5) Mark Brown, chairman of orthopedics for the University of Miami, and wife Josie Romano Brown, president of the Mercy Foundation, at the Humane Society of Greater Miami's "Play for Paws" Las Vegas Night at the Mayfair House in Coconut Grove.
