NAMES AND FACES: Among other events around South Florida, an international filmmaker is honored, the Miami Museum of Science visits Mars and Arnold Palmer cuts the ribbon on his new golf course in Palm Beach Gardens.
1) Developer Jorge Perez (right), Spanish film director Carlos Saura (left) and Nicole Guillemet, the Miami International Film Festival's director, celebrate the showing of Saura's movie, "Salome," at Perez's One Miami in downtown. Saura was honored with the festival's Filmmaker's Tribute that evening.

3) At the Miami Museum of Science and Space Transit Planetarium's first annual Galaxy Gala to benefit the museum's new science center, guests included (left to right) museum supporter Patricia Clarke, museum executive director and "Star Gazer" host Jack Horkheimer, CCom Group's Alys Daly, Greta Parks of the museum's Falcon Batchelor Bird of Prey Center and museum supporter Victoria Bolduc. The theme of the night was Mars, hence the red garb.
