1) Sister Peggy Albert, executive vice president of Barry University, received the Spirit of the Founders Award. At the black-tie gala, Albert (second from left) was joined by Richard Hurt, dean of Barry's Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law; Barry board of trustees vice chair Charles Modica and Orange County, Calif. attorney Joseph W. Durocher, who was honored with Barry's Allies for Justice Award.

2) Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Miami board of governors chairman and Continental Hospitality Holdings chairman Robert Sturges; board member Carlos de Cespedes, CEO of Pharmed Group Corp.; his wife Martha de Cespedes; and BBBS board president Bonnie Crabtree, managing director of Korn/Ferry International's Florida office, at BBBS' annual "Water and Ice by the Bay" fundraiser.

3) Skyline Equities Chairman and CEO Evangeline Gouletas (second from left) donated $100,000 to the US Fund for UNICEF. 4) Citrix Systems CEO Mark Templeton and wife Yvonne Templeton (left), join JM Family Enterprises chairman Pat Moran at the Denim & Diamonds silent auction at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. They raised $260,000 for Deliver the Dream's programs for families in distress.

5) Aurelio M. Fernandez, CEO of Florida Medical Center; Richard Gold, CEO of North Ridge Medical Center; Laura Cillo, CEO of Cleveland Clinic Hospital; and Larry Melby, CEO of Hollywood Medical Center, represented campaign sponsor Tenet South Florida at the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" Broward Heart Walk at Nova Southeastern University, in Davie.

6) The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University raised $100,000 for scholarships at its Rock 'n' Roll Night--Dollars for Scholars event at the Signature Grand. Joel Altman, founder of The Altman Cos.; BankAtlantic CEO Alan Levan and wife Susie Levan, publisher of Balance magazine; and Beverly Raphael, CEO of RCC Associates, were among the dozens of executives who performed at the event.
