David Reich, one of the principals of Triad Housing Partners, is a dog lover. "I've got a boxer," says the Hollywood-based developer. That's partly why the unique amenities at DUO, his new condominium project in Hallandale, will include a "groom room." This dedicated pet center, located in the community's planned two-story clubhouse, will cater to residents' four legged friends with a grooming table, overhead shower hose and a blow-dry area. "We felt that this was something the buyers would be interested in," says Reich. Use of the room is free, with an option to book a professional groomer. Other amenities at the contemporary 25-story, two-tower complex are a swimming pool and spa, fitness center, two tennis courts and a full-service business center. DUO is set to rise on four acres at 1725 East Hallandale Beach Blvd., adjacent to the Diplomat golf course. The 398 one-, two- and three-bedroom units will range in size from 1,000 to 2,100 square feet and run from $170,000 to $675,000. According to Reich, sales have been brisk since the recent sales center opening, with over 80 percent of the units spoken for. Groundbreaking is targeted for the end of summer and completion for late 2005.
