Caption: * For the first time, Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines has announced it will deploy a new ship, the Carnival Legend, at Port Everglades. The ship, which can hold 2,124 passengers, will operate a series of western- and southern-Caribbean cruises that will start at the beginning of November and run through April 10, 2003. The ship is sailing from Fort Lauderdale because a sister vessel with the same itinerary already sails from the Port of Miami. Carnival Cruise Lines is the largest cruise company in the world.
