* Miami Lakes-based Applica, a maker of small appliances, bought Weitech, an Oregon company that makes, designs and distributes pest-control products, in a stock deal valued at $20 million (outstanding shares plus cash, notes and outstanding debt). Applica's brands include Black & Decker and Windmere Durable.
