1) Miami Museum of Science president Dr. Judy Brown, newscaster and member of the musem's board of directors Ileana Bravo, director Louise Valdez-Fauli, 2003 Galaxy Gala chairs Dan and Trish Bell, Miami Planetarium executive director Jack Horkheimer, director Ofelia Sanpedro and museum vice president of advancement Angelo Gonzales at the Miami Museum of Science luncheon for the first Galaxy Gala.
2) Burdines chairman and CEO Tim Adams (second from right) presents J. Stephen Putnam (right), Burdines board member and former chair of the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America, a check for $75,000 to benefit the foundation's Families for Freedom scholarship fund. Joining Adams are Burdines Florida Teacher of the Year Henry Brown (left) and Burdines senior VP Ann Ruppert.
3) At International Sales Group's Summer 2002 Sales Seminar are motivational speaker Charles Clarke Ill, Abercrombie & Kent Registry president Milton Pedraza and ISG vice president and partner Craig Studnicky.
4) Olympic medalist Jenny Thompson (center) with Sam Freas (left), president and CEO of Fort Lauderdale's International Swimming Hall of Fame, and Preston Levi, Henning Library librarian. Thompson presented her medals to the hall of fame during the Phillips 66 National Swimming Championships at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex.
5) Lieutenant Gov. Frank Brogan (right), with Elizabeth Ostrich (left), vice president of Women's and Children's Services and Dr. Mary Mehta, chief of pediatrics at the Chris Evert Children's Hospital. The Lt. Gov. toured the hospital, the state's newest children's facility.
6) Latin Club of American president Monica Puig (center) receives an award for her work as one of Miami's leading international women executives, presented by the Florida Foreign Trade Association, the World Trade Center Miami and various chambers. Puig stands with FFTA president Ralph Puga and WTC Miami chairman Anna Maria Fernandez Haar.
