BASF golf tournament

Some 120 golfers challenged the course at the Weston Hills Country Club on a beautiful South Florida May afternoon as part of the Builders Association of South Florida's annual golf tournament. By most accounts--and after tabulating the scores--it is safe to say the course prevailed. Among the many prizes awarded were: a black Sharp Microwave, Marlins Founder Tickets, Computerized Golf Analysis, an annual subscription to the Daily Business Review, one bottle of Dewar's 12 and a PROFORCE 65 golf club. Abe Levy of Atlantic Flooring Brokers won the Grand Prize of a $1,000 cruise certificate. Other prize winners included Joe Rivero of Tarmac, Robert Bonnet of Florida Savings Bank and Ed Lehmann of Kitchen Art of South Florida. Many thanks to the following tournament committee members: JC Calleiro, Rinker Materials; John McQueston, Whirlpool Corp.; Robert Duffy, W.F. Roemer Insurance; Daniel Palacio, The Miami Herald; Gloria Portela, Brigham Moore, LLP; Carlos E. Gonzalez, SunTrust Bank and Toni Pacelli-Hinkley, BASF executive director.
