Latin club of America the future is networking!
South Florida CEO, Oct, 2002
Latin Club of America is an organization dedicated to support and promote businesses within the Latin community and unite Latinos in our business efforts. We are an important strategic alliance for businesses who desire a presence in our Latin community (formed by nearly 35 million Hispanics with a purchasing power of $325 billion.)
Through our monthly networking events, we have developed a way for businesses to expose their messages and products to top executives at a time when they associate the pleasurable relaxed experience to the product. To further benefit our members we have created a monthly electronic bulletin received by over 8,500 subscribers. Through our Spanish portal, we promote our members B2B and to the world; here members are listed by category and each member has a Web page with a link to their own Web site. On April 14th, we sponsored HispanicFest 2002. This one day festival with an estimated 35,000 in attendance set a stage to officially launch Latin Club of America's site www.interfiesta.com, receiving over 100,000 hits in one day alone! In addition, our sponsorship program offers companies the opportunity to direct market top executives and the Latin community.
Our commitment to promote and support our culture remains strong. We encourage artistic growth in our community through the promotion of upcoming Latino artists, and Latin performances at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Vanguardia Latina and Latin Arte exhibits, and the introduction of Latin Folk dancers at our own events. We have also become a promotional partner of the Florida Marlins Baseball Club. This means our promotion at the stadium and recognition of Latinos' spending power by dedicating certain baseball nights to our ethnic group. The Latin Club of America has become a strong vehicle in our Latin community, not only to promote products and services, but also to bring awareness to issues that are important to aid and advance our community, such as our support of Miami-Dade Lions Club's "The Gift of Sight" program that has given sight to one million needy people, and our annual Toy Drive to benefit Amigos Together for Kids. We also help bring awareness through our sponsorship of events to benefit non-for-profit organizations such as: Hispanic Unity, Unicef, and Miami Latin Film Festival.
We hope to create in South Florida, and eventually around the nation and throughout the world, a new way of doing business, of thinking about each other and helping each other in our day to day business dealings to help us all live happy, healthy and prosperous lives. We are able to do this thanks to the constant support of our members and the generosity of our sponsors. We thank them for their faith in us and in particular thank our families, friends and those who's faith and support helped made our mission a reality: Honorable Alex Penelas, Mayor of Miami-Dade; Honorable Donald Slesnick, Mayor of City of Coral Gables: Honorable Mara Giulianti Mayor of City of Hollywood; Honorable Volker Anding; Consul General of Germany; Honorable Javier Vallaure, Consul General of Spain; Dr. Luis Conte Agliero; Mr. and Mrs. Jaime Angulo; Ms. Chaun Bunt; Ms. Stephanie De Brito; Mr. Rui Dias-Aidos; Mr. Humberto Estenoz; Ms. Niurka Fernandez-Arteaga Ms. Millie Fresen; Mr. Gunter Freystatter; Mr. Javier Hernandez; Ms. Maria Al ejandra Herrera; Mr. and Mrs. Alejandro Lastra; Mr. Walter Loy Mr. Francisco Martinez-Celeiro; Mr. Eduardo Mendoza; Ms. Patricia Paz; Ms. Miriam Peiro; Mr. Jose Carlos Prado; Ms. Marta Ramos; Ms. Ana Remos; Mr. and Mrs. Luis David Rodriguez; Mr. Richard Roffman; Ms. Blanca Telleria; Mr. Alvaro Valderrama; and special thanks for her participation to Sylvana Troccoli.
Our First Annual Awards of Excellence Dinner (celebrated on November 1st, 2002 at the Omni Colonnade in Coral Gables) was created to commemorate National Hispanic Heritage through the recognition of those individuals and organizations whose valuable contributions expose Latino influences above and beyond Latin markets. It is with our most sincere appreciation for their acceptance and with great pride that we honor and present in this publication the winners of our First Annual Awards of Excellence 2002.
