Fashion for All Elementary Schools
by Monica Ricci, Age 9
Fashion is a big thing in elementary school. Fashion for shoes are Heelys, which are shoes with wheels and shoes with no laces. For shirts, collar shirts and short sleeve shirts with long sleeves under it. For pants, jeans are in fashion. Fashion is an awesome thing in elementary schools!
Fashion

The fashion in Mountain View has some vintage mixed with some sporty stuff. One big thing for girls is monkey tees and jackets like the Bobby Jack brand. The shoes are Heelys or cool tennis shoes. Hair is always cool in a ponytail. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that Heelys are shoes with wheels on the heels. The most popular thing is bell bottoms. They are totally vintage. Fashion rocks! Jean skirts are pretty popular, too! A lot of times girls will wear boots. Fashion is really good.
Fashion for 2006
by Carver Arena, Age 10
The school's fashion for school year 2006 is going to be demanding but I've got a few ideas for this year's fashion. The hair has to be spiked and (if necessary) under a baseball cap. Under the sweatshirt be sure to have Under Armour because it helps keep you warm and cool. Over that make sure a sweatshirt is at hand in case you need to cover up your Under Armour. Next we're going to need army green cargo pants that will cover up most of your legs. Note: make sure they have knee-zippees. The shoes should be Heelys for racing down halls and they look stylish, too. So that pretty much wraps it up, so if you listened you'll be fine.
Girls Versus Boys
by Hannah Derinney, Age 10
Girls and boys clothing for school is similar at a glance, but take a closer look, because there is a big difference. Girls tend to go with rhinestones, embroidery, and matching colors, About one in three girls doesn't care about what they wear as long as they are comfortable. Fashion for most girls means everything to them. Boys are an entirely different story. For them, dark colors are better than light; plain is better than embroidered; and jerseys of their favorite team is better than sweaters. About 63% of boys don't care at all about what they wear. As you can see, there are many differences between girls' clothes and boys' clothes.
