Qatar Foundation

Qatar Foundation is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1995 on the personal initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar. Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Misnad, Consort of His Highness, serves as the Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation and personally guides the organization's objectives and programs. The Qatar Foundation has envisioned Education City, a center of educational excellence in the region, where international scholars from prestigious universities share research and educate students in fields of critical importance to the GCC region.

Children's Arts and Literature Festival, Kingdom of Bahrain

An important and unique initiative for children by H.H. Shaikha Hala Bint Daij Al-Khalifa, Spouse of the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Shaikha Hala inaugurated the festival, themed "For a better Future", in 2002, and plans an annual international event every year.

George Rodrigue

George Rodrigue: renowned artist, and creator of the Blue Dog Series known by collectors around the world. Rodrigue is a featured artist of the 2003 International ChildArt Festival, and has created an original silkscreen in support of the Festival. Titled "Honesty', it features a collage of artwork by children from around the world.

Congressional Arts Caucus

The Congressional Arts Caucus is a group of more than 150 members of Congress who find ways for the federal government to help artists throughout the country. Representative Louise Slaughter of New York and Representative Christopher Shays of Connecticut are the co-chairs of the group.

Commission on the Arts and Humanities

Since 1968, the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) has developed and promoted local artists, organizations, and activities as part of its mission to enrich the quality of life of the people of Washington. In partnership with the community, DCCAH promotes excellence in the arts by initiating and supporting programs, activities, and policies that inspire, nurture, and reflect the multi-ethnic character and cultural diversity of the District.
