CA Elementary School to Install Solar Power System

The Los Angeles Daily News recently reported that the Henry Hearns Charter School of Academic Excellence in Littlerock, CA plans to install a new 30,000-watt solar panel system to supply power to the facility and help inform the students about renewable energy resources.

According to the paper, the elementary school received a $197,000 grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC) for the solar power project, with the remainder of the funding raised by local community members.

The Daily News noted that the $240,000 solar panel system is scheduled for completion by the end of the month.
