Reuters recently reported that Spain's Gamesa has revealed plans to sell six of its Spanish wind farms with a total generating capacity of 158 megawatts (MW) to Australian company Babcock & Brown for more than 200 million euros (approximately $267.8 million).
According to Reuters, the five-year contract includes maintenance, management and power sales, with an extension option of five years.
Reuters said the companies have also signed a purchase agreement for several wind farms with a total generating capacity of 450 MW between 2005 and 2007.
