Global Solar Energy Awarded U.S. Army Portable Charger Order

UniSource Energy Corporation subsidiary Global Solar Energy, Inc. recently announced it has been awarded a $1-million contract to provide the U.S. Army with a "lightweight and durable" rucksack portable solar charger.

According to Global Solar Energy, the charger is designed to offer individual soldiers a convenient way to charge batteries and power portable electronic equipment.

"Global Solar's PowerFLEX solar technology incorporated into lightweight, flexible, foldable and durable solar products is enabling military, commercial and OEM markets worldwide like never before," said Global Solar vice president of sales and marketing Tim Teich.
