US to host 2008 Global Renewable Energy Conference

The US Department of State committed this week to be the global host for the 2008 Washington International Renewable Energy Conference to be held March 1-7, 2008.
Approximately 5,000 attendees are expected at the conference, including delegates from 150 countries.
The conference will feature a ministerial meeting for energy and environment ministers and other stakeholders, a parliamentary meeting for members of elected legislatures and renewable energy trade show.
