Singapore to Power Carparks with FCs

Fuel Cells Today, August 26, 2003

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) of Singapore recently announced plans to launch a pilot project next February using a hydrogen fuel cell (FC) system developed by Bend, OR-based IdaTech to power three multi-story HDB carparks in Pasir Ris, Singapore.

According to HDB officials, the project supports Singapore's push toward the use of alternative energy.

HDB said other agencies involved in the year-long project include the National Environment Agency, Economic Development Board, Nanyang Technological University and Development Resources.
