Proton Launches Hydrogen Generator at MI Power Plant

Fuel Cells Today, March 9, 2004

Proton Energy Systems, Inc. recently announced the launch of the company's HOGEN H Series onsite hydrogen generator at Mirant Corporation's power plant in Zeeland, MI.

According to Proton, the installation of the HOGEN H Series unit at the Zeeland site is part of the company's customer acceptance program, which allows potential customers to evaluate a pre-production hydrogen generator onsite for a limited trial period, with an option to purchase the unit upon completion of testing.

Additionally, Proton announced it has received an order to provide one H Series hydrogen generator each to a semiconductor producer and a commercial heat treat facility. Proton noted that the units, which are scheduled for delivery this summer, are intended to replace merchant industrial gas deliveries.
