Hydrogen Sun Bus Makes Promotional Visit to NJ

Fuel Cells Today, April 5, 2005

Local New Jersey newspaper the Star-Ledger recently reported that ISE Corporation's hydrogen-powered Sun Bus made a promotional visit to Newark, NJ last week, taking NJ Transit officials on a ride around the city.

According to the paper, the $600,000 Sun Bus, which normally provides transportation services in Palm Desert, CA, is fueled by two 5,000-pound hydrogen tanks located atop the bus.

"It's a simple, elegant solution for problems like Newark [which] has childhood asthma, and for climate change," said James Sherman of Neighborhood Energy, the consulting firm that organized the promotional event.
