Toyota to Employ Fuel Cell Electric Buses at Aichi Expo

Fuel Cells Today, Feb 2, 2005

Kyodo recently reported that Toyota Motor Corporation has revealed plans to use the company's demonstration fuel cell hybrid-electric buses to transport participants between two exposition sites at the 2005 Aichi World Exposition in March.

According to Kyodo, the hybrid buses are powered by both fuel cell and nickel hydride batteries.

Kyodo said Toyota plans to use eight of the buses, which have the capacity to carry up to 65 passengers each, for transportation during the expo, as well as install a hydrogen refueling station at one of the expo venues.
