Topic: RSS Feed4th Monte-Carlo international fine art & antiques fair: Grimaldi Forum. 31st December-6th January
Apollo, Dec, 2003
Once again the fair opens its doors to contemporary and modern art galleries allowing contemporary art to mingle with the sumptuous range of antiques and fine art objects rigorously inspected by the Vetting Committee, composed of well-known international experts. On December 30th, 3,000 VIPs are expected at the "vernissage" under the sponsorship of S.E.M. Patrick LeClercq, Prime Minister of the Principality.
As every year, the fair presents simultaneous loan exhibitions: an important selection of rare bronzes by the sculptor Giacomo Manzu (1908-1991) and an exhibition of "5 Designers for 5 Nobel" by Italian designer Cleto Munari who asked four of his colleges of different nationalities to create a fountain pen in collaboration with a Nobel price winner for literature. Illustrated below are a few exhibits from leading dealers. Descriptions are as supplied by the organizers.
