THE 19th LONDON ORIGINAL PRINT FAIR 22nd-25th April Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington Gardens, London

This important fair in the print collector's calendar will take place this year in the RA's new exhibition space in Burlington Gardens, providing the fair with an increased display area. With almost the same line up of dealers as last year, the large and high quality range of prints has been maintained from Old Masters to Contemporary. The Loan Exhibition for 2004 is a superb collection of some of the earliest engravings of western art, dating from the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. The collection comes from the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, the oldest museum in Britain. It has been selected to highlight just one aspect of the Ashmolean's rich collection of prints, which has recently been augmented by a collection of contemporary prims by artists from German-speaking countries.
