Hesketh has already built an interesting new racecourse stand at Towcester (designed by Francis Roberts); perhaps he should redeem his reputation by commissioning a distinguished new country house to emulate the distinction of Hawksmoor, if on a rather smaller scale, to create that heritage of the future that government ministers and modern architects are always going on about.
